One of the key components of an effective weight loss plan is exercise. Problem is many people have no idea where to begin with exercise.

If you ask a thousand people what is the best exercise to lose weight you will get a variety of different answers. The right combination of exercises can vary from person to person depending on factors like age, gender, medical conditions and overall health.

There are a hundreds of different exercises that will work for weight loss but three popular ones are:

Going For A Walk

If you are struggling with developing an exercise routine to go along with your weight loss plan, start with something simple like walking.

It doesnt require any special equipment, just a pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk in.

Walking is a great exercise for beginners. It is low impact and can be done at your own pace.

Walking will also help reduce the chance of getting certain diseases such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Aerobic Exercises

Aerobic dance workouts like zumba, taebo, hip hop abs and rockin body are fun and effective ways to lose pounds and inches. Depending on the level of intensity, these workouts can burn up to a thousand calories per hour.

There are other health benefits related to dancing as well. These include reducing stress levels, lowering blood pressure and increasing energy.

To receive the most weight loss and health benefit from your exercise routine you must be consistent and workout a three times per week for 30 minutes minimum. Your goal should be working up to five days per week for at least 30 minutes.

Swimming Laps

Swimming is a great way to improve your strength, flexibility and to lose weight.

When swimming, you are working all the major muscles in your body. It is an effective to not only lose weight but to improve your strength and flexibility as well.

If combine a healthy eating plan with your swimming routine you will improve your weight loss results.

Regardless of what exercise you decide to do, it is always important to begin with a warm up routine and end with a cool down session.

Anyone of these exercises can be an instrumental part of your weight loss plan when used on a regular basis.

At the end of the day only you can determine the best exercise to lose weight. Do something that challenges you but you enjoy enough to stick with long term.
